➢ You must get approval from the Decentralized Administration to hire foreign workers 

➢ The application must be submitted by the 30th of June of every year

➢ Processing time: Up to 1 year

➢ Post a job ad on VideoWorkers and select from the candidates who applied or search the database directly

➢ After finding a good match, conduct the interview and make a job offer, then sign an employment contract

➢ Your future employee must submit the application for a work visa to the competent Diplomatic Mission 

➢ Required documents: 

◦ Fully completed long-stay visa application form

◦ Valid passport

◦ At least two photographs not older than six months (35 X 45 mm)

◦ Adequate health insurance

◦ Proof of a clean criminal record

◦ Medical certificate of good health

◦ University degree, professional certificates, or other applicable certificates

◦ Proof of accommodation

◦ Evidence of sufficient financial means (e.g., the latest three months of bank statements)

➢ Application fee: € 180

➢ Processing time: Up to 3 months

➢ After getting their visa approved, the worker enters Greece and applies for a work permit at one of the one-stop shops of the Decentralized Administration 

➢ Required documents: 

◦ Photographs

◦ Passport with the visa sticker affixed to it

◦ Proof of accommodation

◦ Medical insurance

◦ Greek residence permit application form

◦ Tax Identification Number (AFM) – they can get it from the local Eforia tax office

◦ Social Security Number (AMKA) – they can get it from a KEP Citizen Service Center

◦ Health certificate

◦ Proof of sufficient financial means

➢ Processing time: 6-12 months
