◦ Proof of paid application fee

◦ A copy of the worker’s valid passport or travel document

◦ Proof that the worker has sufficient means of subsistence

◦ Copy of work contract

◦ Employer’s VAT number

◦ Employee police clearance

◦ Proof of adequate health insurance

◦ Medical certificate

◦ Employee’s National Registration Number (please refer to the online service belgianIDpro for assistance)

➢ Application fee: € 138

➢ Processing time: 18 weeks

➢ Every time you hire a new employee, make changes, or terminate an employee’s contract, you must submit a Dimona declaration

➢ Your future employee must submit the application for a work visa to the competent Diplomatic Mission 

➢ Required documents: 

◦ Valid passport

◦ Passport copy, including copies of 2 first and 2 last pages as well as copies of all pages containing visas

◦ At least two recently taken photographs (35 mm X 45 mm)

◦ Completed and signed VisaOnWeb application form

◦ Original Belgian work permit

◦ Medical certificate not older than 6 months

◦ Adequate health insurance

◦ Employment contract

◦ Criminal record not older than 6 months 

◦ Proof of accommodation
