This CA Notice at Collection and Supplemental Privacy Information supplements VideoWorker’s Privacy Policy and applies only to California residents who engage with our website (https://videoworkers.com) and/or services.

Under the CA Notice at Collection and Supplemental Privacy Information, consumers have certain data privacy rights, as defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). These rights include being informed about the types of personal information we collect and the purpose behind such collection.

This CA Notice describes the type of Personal Information that we may collect from you as a User if you engage with our website or services as well as your rights under the CA Notice.

Do note that the rights outlined in this CA notice may be subject to exceptions and additional restrictions under applicable law.

Personal Information We Collect, Use and Disclose

Under the CCPA, we may collect, utilize, and disclose for our business purposes the following categories of Personal Information from California consumers:

  • Identifiers, including, but not limited to, your full name, postal address, IP address, email address, and unique personal identifier.
  • Personal Information described in Section 1798.80(e) of the California Civil Code including, but not limited to, your full name, address, phone number, education, credit and/or debit card number, current employment, and employment history. Do note that certain personal information within this category may overlap with other categories.
  • Characteristics that fall under protected classifications according to California or federal law including, but not limited to, age, race, citizenship, religion, marital status, gender, and medical condition.
  • Commercial information including, but not limited to, services purchased and purchase history.
  • Biometric information including, but not limited to, fingerprint, image, and user behavior characteristics.
  • Internet, network, and/or device activity, including, but not limited to, browsing history and app usage.
  • Geolocation data including, but not limited to, city, state, and ZIP code associated with your IP address.
  • Sensory data including, but not limited to, visual, audio, and electronic information.
  • Employment and education information including, but not limited to, resume, education history, and job history.
  • Information regarding education that is not publicly available, as outlined in the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (20 U.S.C. Section 1232g, 34 C.F.R. Part 99) including, but not limited to, grades, student schedules, and student identification codes.
  • Other Personal Information including, but not limited to, characteristics, psychological trends, abilities, and characteristics.

Use of Personal Information

We may utilize your Personal Information for business or commercial purposes, as described in our Privacy Policy (“Use of Personal Information”).

These purposes may include:

  • To perform the service you requested, such as creating an account on VideoWorker’s platform and processing your purchases and transactions
  • To provide you with guidance and support and respond to your inquiries and comments
  • To enhance, test, research, analyze, and further develop our website and services
  • To provide marketing material and service offerings that may be of interest to you
  • To secure your account with us and maintain up-to-date contact information about you
  • To contribute to the preservation of the security, safety, and integrity of our website, services, and technological assets
  • To satisfy any legal and regulatory requirements as required by applicable law

VideoWorkers will not use the Personal Information we collect about you for substantially different or unrelated purposes without prior notice to you.

Categories of Sources from which We Collect Your Personal Information

We collect your Personal Information from diverse sources, including:

  • Directly from you when you interact with our website and/or use our services, such as visiting our website or creating a VideoWorkers profile as a Candidate or Company/Agency
  • From social media platforms
  • From publicly available databases and vendors
  • Sell/Sharing of Personal Information

    As defined by the CCPA, we may engage in the “sale” of your Personal Information to third parties, which includes personalized (or targeted) advertising on our website or other websites when we promote our services elsewhere.

    In case of selling/sharing Personal Information to third parties, we establish a contractual agreement that outlines the purpose and mandates the recipient to maintain the confidentiality of said Personal Information as well as refrain from utilizing it for any purpose other than fulfilling the contract.

    In accordance with the CCPA, third parties who acquire the Personal Information we possess are prohibited from reselling it unless explicit notice is provided to you, along with an opportunity to opt-out of further sales.

    We do not knowingly sell any sensitive Personal Information or the Personal Information of minors under 16 years of age unless we have received affirmative authorization from the minor (for minors between 13 and 16 years old) or from the minor’s parent or guardian (for minors under 13 years old).

    While these are terms defined by the CCPA, VideoWorkers does not currently sell or share Personal Information to third parties for monetary value.

    In the preceding twelve (12) months, VideoWorkers has not sold Personal Information for any business or commercial purpose.

    Disclosure of Personal Information

    We disclose your Personal Information in instances where you purposely engage with third parties and when you intentionally utilize our service to disclose your Personal Information.

    For example, if you are a Candidate, we will share the Personal Information provided in your resume and Candidate Profile with Companies and Agencies who have access to our Candidate Database. If you receive a job offer from a Company or Agency, we will disclose additional Personal Information, such as your Contact Details (e.g., email address and phone number).

    If you are a Company or Agency and send a job offer to a Candidate, we will share your Personal Information with them for the purpose of inviting them to accept your job offer or interview with you.

    Do note that we may disclose your Personal Information for any additional purpose as indicated on the Website or within the Services (whether you are a Candidate or Company/Agency) provided you agree to such disclosure.

    Pursuant to the CCPA, in the preceding twelve (12) months, we may have disclosed the following categories of personal information:

  • Category A: Identifiers
  • Category B: California Customer Records personal information categories
  • Category C: Protected classification characteristics under California or federal law
  • Category F: Geolocation data
  • Category G: Professional or employment-related information
  • We disclose your personal information for business purposes to the following categories of third parties:

  • Social networks
  • Service providers
  • Integrated third-party partners
  • Government entities
  • Other third parties, if the disclosure of your Personal Information is required by law, in connection with an asset transfer, or if you have expressly consented to the disclosure of your Personal Information
  • VideoWorkers only collects sensitive Personal Information, as defined by the CCPA – including racial or ethnic origin – in connection with the recruitment process. Except as required to fulfill our services or allowed by the CCPA, we do not disclose any sensitive Personal Information.

    Your Consumer Rights

    If you reside in California, you possess the following privacy rights under the CCPA:

    Note: As mentioned in the section “Sell/Sharing of Personal Information” of this CA Notice, VideoWorkers does not currently sell or share Personal Information to third parties for monetary value.

  • Right to delete the Personal Information we have collected about you, subject to certain exceptions. For example, we may deny your deletion request if retaining your Personal Information is necessary for us to complete the transaction for which we collected your Personal Information, detect security incidents or illegal activity, or comply with a legal obligation
  • Right to correct inaccurate Personal Information we maintain about you
  • Right to opt-out of sale or sharing your Personal Information
  • Right to limit the use or disclosure of sensitive Personal Information
  • Right not to receive discriminatory treatment because you exercised any of your CCPA rights

    To exercise your CCPA consumer rights as described above, you can submit a verifiable consumer request to us by email at privacy@videoworkers.com using CCPA CONSUMER REQUEST in the subject line of the email. Do note that we will need to verify your identity prior to responding to your request.
