➢ For most visa schemes, you must advertise the position to Danish and EU workers

Step 2: Post your job opening and recruit the right candidate

➢ Post a job ad on VideoWorkers and select from the candidates who applied or search the database directly

➢ After finding a good match, conduct the interview and make a job offer, then sign an employment contract

Step 3: Identify the right type of visa scheme for your future worker

➢ Go to https://www.nyidanmark.dk/en-GB/You-want-to-apply/Work and check the visa scheme under which you can hire non-EU workers

Step 4: Apply for a visa or assist your future employee with the visa application

➢ In most cases, your future worker is responsible for completing their part of the visa application online via SIRI. However, for certain visa schemes, you can apply on behalf of your employee.

➢ The following steps must be followed:

1. Create a case order ID: The applicant provides their personal information

2. Pay the visa fee

3. The candidate submits the supporting documents:

◦ Employment contract

◦ Relevant professional qualifications and licenses

◦ For doctors, dentists, and nurses: proof of valid Danish authorization

4. You complete your part of the application by filling in the AR1 or AR6 form and attaching the supporting documents:

◦ Employment contract including details about the employment conditions

◦ Sworn declaration that the job position has been advertised on specific websites for a specific duration

◦ Documentation for wage and terms of employment which are not included in the employment contract

▸ If you fill in the AR1 form: After completing your part of the form, the system will generate a reference number and password. You must provide the worker with this information so they can proceed to access the online application and complete their part of the form.

▸ If you fill in the AR6 form: You will complete the form on behalf of your worker using a power of attorney. Your future employee must provide you with an official declaration stating that they have not incurred a fine amounting to DKK 3,000 or more.

5. Your future employee provides their biometrics at the competent Diplomatic Mission
