➢ Requirements:

◦ The company has fulfilled its obligations as an employer

◦ Your terms of employment comply with current laws and regulations

◦ Over the previous three years, your employees received a minimum of 10 work-related residence permits, out of which at least three have been renewed

◦ The company has been financially stable over the previous three years

◦ The company’s average annual turnover has been at least one million euros for each accounting period

➢ You can apply online through Enter Finland for Employers 

➢ Application fee: € 140 for the electronic application and € 195 for the paper application 

➢ Processing time: 1-2 months

➢ Post a job ad on VideoWorkers and select from the candidates who applied or search the database directly

➢ After finding a good match, conduct the interview and make a job offer, then sign an employment contract

➢ Go to https://enterfinland.fi/eServices/info/workpermit and check what type of residence permit your future worker needs

➢ Your future employee is responsible for submitting the application, but you must fill in the terms of employment

➢ The application can be submitted online via Enter Finland 

➢ Required documents vary based on the type of permit, but often they include:

◦ Valid passport

◦ Passport photo

◦ Documents stating they are legally residing in the country where they submitted the application

◦ Form MP1

◦Documents stating the terms of employment 

➢ Application fee: € 490 for the electronic application and € 740 for the paper application 

➢ Processing time: Up to 2 months 

➢ For certified employers, workers have the option to apply for a work visa for Finland (National Visa, type D)

➢ Securing a National Visa allows them to travel to Finland right after receiving a positive response to their residence permit application (100 days before the residence permit becomes effective)

➢ They can apply via the fast-track service or without the fast-track service (at a Finnish diplomatic mission)

➢ Workers can apply for a D visa either at the same time they apply for a residence permit or after submitting a residence permit application

➢ Required documents: The original documents attached to the residence permit application 

➢ Application fee: € 95 for the electronic application and € 120 for the paper application 

➢ Processing time: Up to 2 months
